2017 Youth of the Year Stephanie Silveira

Stephanie is a 2017 graduate of New Bedford High School. She currently attends Bristol Community College and plans to major in education. One of her goals is to work with children who have disabilities as a para professional. In the past year, she has gotten her certification to work with children and has also earned a certification for a program called “Learn & Serve” where she helped out at soup kitchens and for the homeless.

Ms. Silveria is a peer leader at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater New Bedford and has been a role model for all our Club members to look up to. In her own words: “My experience with the Boys & Girls Club has been a great journey. I have learned so much about myself and my passion to teach was inspired by my daily interaction with Club members”. In her free time Stephanie enjoys dancing and spending time with her family.

Thank you to Lynn Lombard, Manager at Ninety Nine Restaurant/Dartmouth and Chris Fortune, Manager at Ninety-Nine Restaurant/Fairhaven for their many years of support of our Youth of the Year Program. Each year they present the Youth of the Year with an award certificate, gift card and a gift certificate to Ninety Nine Restaurants for themselves and their family to dine out.
