Boys & Girls Club of Greater New Bedford

About Our Club

“Enabling all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.”

Filling a Critical Need

The Boys & Girls Club builds character through everyday leadership and guidance in behavior and attitude. Young people of all ethnicity, races and creeds join together in wholesome recreation and leadership.

Trained professional staff provide positive adult mentors and role models. Nationally recognized programs help young people succeed in school, stay healthy, learn important life skills, pursue interests in the arts and sports and explore vocational choices.

Most importantly, the Boys & Girls Club shows members that someone cares, wants them to realize their full potential and to BE GREAT!

OUR CLUB IS

For all boys and girls. Being a member of the Boys & Girls Club satisfies the age-old desire of young people to have a “club of their own.” Children of all races, religions and ethnic cultures are welcome.

Well-staffed. Full-time professional leadership is supplemented by part-time peer leaders and volunteers.

Affordable. Membership dues are kept low, so all young people can afford to join.

Guidance-orientated. The Boys & Girls Club emphasizes positive values in the relationships members have with each other and with adult leaders. It helps members to make appropriate choices in their physical, educational, personal, social, emotional, vocational and spiritual lives.
